Lincoln Man Accused Of Cutting Tire, Woman With Knife

Lincoln Police say a 33-year-old man called them around 2:15 Thursday morning to say he was being chased and threatened by five people near 24th and M Street.

Captain Todd Kocian says Conley Webb III also told police that he had a knife. When officers arrived they discovered that Webb had left out some of the details of what happened.

"The group of individuals reported they were standing near their vehicle when Webb approached and began calling them names and apparently was upset because they were being too loud," Kocian says. "At some point Webb produced a knife and stabbed the front driver's side tire of their vehicle causing it to flatten."

He says Webb then confronted a 19-year-old woman and cut her on the neck resulting in a superficial wound. Kocian says Webb started walking away from the area and the group followed to keep an eye on him for police.

Officers did recover a small folding knife. Webb was arrested for 2nd degree assault, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and Possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person. He was also cited & released for criminal mischief.
